- Firstly type “Windows Firewall” in the windows search type bar to find the “Windows Firewall” settings option.

First step is to “Windows key” and Alphabet “R” both together to run the command. (Windows + R)
- Type CMD in the blank box and click on ok button.
- Now you have to type the command “ipconfig” and click the enter button in your keyboard.
- You will be able to see the IP address of your windows PC starting with 192.**** kindly note the IP address somewhere in Notepad or in a page.
- Next step is to open the web browser and enter the noted IP address and hit the enter button.
- Now you will get a pop-up for the login credentials, you have to enter the Routers “Username” and the valid “Password” of the internet connectivity and click on continue TAB.
- Next step is to navigate your mouse cursor to WAN settings and find the “Port Forwarding” option.
Note: You have to create a New Port to access the FTP server externally for sending/receiving the files.
- To create a new Port you have to set up a new service name any favorable name will work!
- Service name (any favorable name)
- Port Range “21”
- Local IP: Your previously noted IP address by commanding “ipconfig”
- Protocol: Enter “TCP”

How to upload files on FTP server in Windows 10 PC?
- Type “File Explorer” in your windows search bar opens the option in your windows 10 PC.
- Kindly open the file explorer in your windows 10 PC and type “ftp://198.***” in the address bar.

- Search “Control panel” in windows search bar
- Select the option “Administrative tools”
- Next step is to double click on IIS “Internet Information Services” manager.
- Now you will be able to see the Site TAB, click on it to see the FTP server.

- Next step is to right click on “Authorization Rules” to find the option “Add Allow Rules” click on it

- Now you have to click on the “Security” option and select the “Edit” button.
