Target GiftCards are available in the following denominations and can be purchased in-store, online, or at other retailers: |amp| Physical Target GiftCards purchased in-store: Target GiftCards purchased on Target.com or in the Target app for any amount between $5 and $500 (Physical Target GiftCards, Mobile Target GiftCards, and Target eGiftCards): $10, $20, $25, $50, $75, $100, and $200, with the option to add a custom value of $5 to $500.
Checking your balance by phone
You can call 1-800-544-2943 to check your Target GiftCard balance and hear your last five transactions.
Checking your balance online
If you don’t already have a Target account, you will need to create one to check the balance of your Target GiftCard.
If you have saved a Target GiftCard to your Target account follow these steps:
- Access your Target account.
- Navigate to your Account/Name.
- Select Gift cards.
- Review your gift cards.
If your Target GiftCard isn’t stored, you can check its balance here. Enter the 15-digit card number as well as the PIN or Access Number. Remove the silver strip on the back of your actual Target GiftCard to see these numbers.
You might also include an Event or Sequence Number on your card. To check the balance on your card, you do not need these digits.
Where do I get the access number for my Target GiftCard?
- Target.com is where you may access your Target account.
- Target GiftCard access numbers cannot be requested via the Target App at this time.
- Navigate to the Account/Name tab.
- Choose gift cards.
- Select Get access number after finding the Target GiftCard you want to use.
- Your Target GiftCard access code will be sent to the email address associated with your
- Target.com account.
Target GiftCards can be used
- To buy alcoholic beverages and other banned things
- Within Target stores, at Starbucks
- In the Target Café,
- Within Target stores, at CVS Pharmacy
- Target Optical in-store (Target GiftCards cannot be used for Target Optical online transactions.)
Target GiftCards cannot be used
- To pay with a RedCard (s)
- To buy Visa®, Mastercard®, or American Express® gift cards, go to www.visa.com.
- To get iTunes gift cards, go here.
- To get specialty gift cards, go here (gaming, restaurants, etc.)
- Target GiftCards can be purchased here.
- Within Target stores, at Minute Clinics
- Target Optical is available online. (Target GiftCards can be used at Target Optical for in-store purchases.)
- Target.com allows you to pay with up to ten Target GiftCards per order.
- Before charging a credit or debit card, Target GiftCards will always be utilised as the first method of payment.
- Even though this is printed on a gift card, Target GiftCards do not expire and do not lose value over time.
- To use email and mobile gift cards in store or online, you’ll need a Target.com account.
- To use the gift card funds in-store or on Target.com, you’ll need an access number.
- To be redeemable in a Target store, gift cards must have scannable barcodes.
Adding a Gift Card
Target App:
- In the Target App, you can access your Target account.
- Choose the Wallet option.
- Within the GiftCard section, click Add.
- Select the Add Gift Card option.
- To add a Target GiftCard to your account, scan the Target barcode on the back of the card or enter the gift card number and access code. These numbers can be retrieved by gently removing the silver strip on the back of your actual Target GiftCard.
Target.com:
- Target.com is where you may access your Target account.
- Go to your Account/Name page.
- Choose gift cards.
- Choose the Plus sign or Save a new gift card.
- To add a gift card to your account, enter the gift card number and access code. These numbers can be retrieved by gently removing the silver strip on the back of your actual Target GiftCard.
Deleting a Gift Card
- For gift card deletion options in the Target app and on Target.com, navigate to your Account and select Gift Cards.
Using a Gift Card Stored in Account
In Target store
- Select the Wallet tab from within the Target App.
- Choose Payments.
- Choose which gift cards will be used.
- Choose Save.
- The payment sheet will shut, and your chosen gift cards will appear below the barcode on the
- Wallet screen.
- When you scan your barcode, your gift cards will be applied.
On Target.com
- Target.com is where you may access your Target account.
- Proceed to Checkout.
- Choose I’m ready to pay now.
- Select Edit in the Payment area, then the Apply a Target GiftCard checkbox.
- Choose which gift cards will be used. An order can have up to ten Target GiftCards applied to it.
- Complete your checkout when you’ve made your selections. The gift cards you choose will be added to your transaction.
